Hey gorgeous, glad to see you here again.
As much as we love ourselves and the skin we’re in, sometimes we just want our skin to cooperate.
Do you want smooth, clear skin that can rival the 20 somethings and 30 somethings?
As you get older, natural signs of age and environmental factors will slowly but surely produce wrinkles, fine lines, scars, and changes in the texture of your skin. But don’t worry! The team at Biologi Spa is here to combat aging.
We offer incredible skin rejuvenation treatments that can get your skin looking young and beautiful.
Where to start? Microneedling.
I know what you’re thinking: Did you just say needles? Yes—we did! Needles are a key factor in this treatment for getting your desired results as tiny needles can penetrate tiny little holes in your skin. Why is that important for this treatment? Just keep on reading, beautiful.
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling (skin needling), or Microchanneling collagen induction therapy, also known as Microchanneling or skin needling, is a minimally invasive procedure that causes collagen to form in the skin and glow without causing scar tissue. Collagen is a protein that keeps our skin looking young, elastic, and beautiful and is the scaffolding, or structure of your skin. When you come in for a microneedling session, hundreds of micro-injuries in the top and second layers of the skin are formed with a pen that uses small, tiny needles to stimulate the growth of collagen.
The pen microneedling treatment is the first FDA-cleared microneedling device. It causes controlled micro-injuries that stimulate your body’s natural wound healing process while minimizing cellular damage. The result is effective remodeling of scar tissue while keeping the skin's overall structure intact. Both found naturally in the skin, collagen and elastin help give skin a healthy dewy glow and a more vibrant and youthful appearance.
How does Microneedling work?
A microneedling tool penetrates your skin with tiny needles, creating very small wounds. These wounds kick start your body’s own healing process, stimulating the production of collagen and new skin cells, creating smooth and youthful skin. The micro-channels created by the pen also allow the skin to better absorb topical creams, gels, and serums. Creams and serums should be implemented in your
skincare routine daily and if you add Microneedling to the mix, the results will be optimal.
What does Microneedling treat?
Microneedling can treat a variety of skin imperfections and issues making it an ideal solution for enhanced beauty. Microneedling helps reduce enlarged pores, wrinkles, acne scars, and stretch marks, and helps hide blemishes. It can also help improve the texture and firmness of your skin and improve the growth of collagen and elastin without causing scar tissue. It can be performed on any part of the body; however, it’s most commonly used on the face, neck, and arms.
Does Microneedling hurt?
The process may sound painful due to little needles pricking your skin, but our dedicated team of aestheticians at Biologi Spa will do everything possible to minimize your discomfort. We will use a topical anesthetic to reduce any pain and to keep you as comfortable as possible during the procedure.
How long will my results last?
A microneedling procedure can be repeated every 3-4 weeks until you are happy with your look. After your procedure, keep the skin hydrated, protected with sunscreen, and moisturized with anti-inflammatory ingredients.
While results will vary based on the individual and a few other factors, the results of microneedling are long-lasting, giving you long-term results. Any treatment on scars will be permanent, smoothing out the skin and reducing the appearance of the scarring. It’s important to remember that the results will last longer with a proper skincare routine. Signs of age and skin texture results will fade over time but, with proper maintenance, you should see an improvement in the appearance of your skin for many years.
Is Microneedling Safe?
Yes, microneedling is performed by certified professionals at Biologi Spa. We use tiny needles and ensure that our procedures, no matter how minimally invasive, are performed with the utmost cleanliness and care.
How long does it take?
A session of facial Microneedling collagen induction therapy can take about 60 minutes. You may feel and look like you have a sunburn for up to four days. After that, your skin will be rejuvenated, vibrant, and beautiful.
